Mr Tusquets is a prominent business leader in Spain who has been involved in the financial industry for over 30 years. Mr. Tusquets is the Founder and Chairman of Trea S.V., an Institutional Asset Management firm with over €4bn AUM. Trea was formed after Mediolanum Group acquired control of Fibanc, which Mr Tusquets was Chairman and Founder since 1983. Mr Tusquets is Chairman of Banca Mediolanum Spain and a member of the executive board of Mediolanum Group in Milan with over €50bn AUM. Mr Tusquets founded and led the growth of Fibanc Group in 1983 into one of the most relevant independent private wealth and asset management firms in Spain. Mr Tusquets is also a board member of Renta Corporación, Mémora and Willis Spain. Mr Tusquets is a Member of CAREC, the Advisory Economic Council to the President of the Catalan government focused on reactivating economic growth, Chairman of the European Financial Planner Association in Spain, Vice Chairman of INVERCO, Spain´s Mutual and Pensions Funds Association and Vice Chairman of the Economic Advisory Board at FC Barcelona, where he also served as Treasurer from 1978 to 1989. Previously Mr Tusqets served as Senior Adviser and board member of 3i plc (UK), NH Hoteles SA, Five Arrows Iberian Fund (Rotschild Group UK), Worms Group (France), Iniciatives (Spanish P.E.), and Chairman of Círculo d’Economia, Spain’s most prestigious economic Think Tank where he is a regular speaker. Mr Tusquets holds a PhD in Economic Science and Business Administration from Barcelona University.
